Janome is proud to introduce a new CXL301 sewing machine its computerised and easy to use whit many features often only found on more expensive machines.
A modern designed computerised sewing machine in trendy red and white colouring, its rounded shapely corners gives the CXL301 an attractive appearance. But dont let this machine fool you with its good looks, it has 30 pre-programmed stitches, including 6 styles of automatic one step buttonholes. Use the LCD display to see which stitch you've chosen as well as the stitch width and length, the pre-set stitches are fully adjustable by pressing the touch panel keys.
With jam-proof, magnetic, top-loading, full rotary hook system eliminates the need for a old fashioned removable bobbin case. The hook cover plate is see-through and opens at the touch of a button, and the extra needle penetration power lets you sew across heavier fabrics & multiple layers.
There is also a needle up/down button for selecting whether the needle should stop in the fabric ( great for pivoting ) or in the up position. The extension table also detaches for free-arm sewing.
A seven piece feed mechanism, a drop feed facility, automatic needle threader are standard. There's also a speed control lever for setting the maximum sewing speed and by using the stop/start button you dont have to use the foot control and the machine comes complete with a soft cover.
It's very easy to use, with features such as clip on feet. Most of the optional feet for the machine just snap on and off, all you have to do is push the red button on the back of the shank to release the feet and lower the shank down for the feet to clip into place again. Yep... we would recommend it for a novice or an expert sewer! In fact we use the Janome CXL301 as a benchmark when comparing sewing machine at this price level. Its at home mending jeans, taking in a satin dress or finishing a quilting project.

Very quiet and speedy. I have always used a more basic Janome so took time to get used to. (Posted on January 14, 2017)

I love this machine, it's so easy to use especially for someone like me who's never really got to grips with machine sewing before. Also impressed by the fast efficient delivery. (Posted on December 14, 2016)
Kelty, Fife Review by June Fisher
This machine was so easy to use, I have already tried it on thicker material and it breezed through it. It feels so smooth running when sewing and was so easy to control with the speed adjuster setting. I would definitely recommend this machine to friends and family. (Posted on November 14, 2016)

Devon Review by Sonia
I am quite new to sewing but I knew I wanted a sewing machine where I could control the speed. That seemed to mean I would need a computerised sewing machine. I have a basic machine but to go slowly over difficult areas I found challenging to say the least! I wanted a sewing machine that was user friendly, so I could get more enjoyment from my sewing. I read a lot of reviews. It was difficult to decide which make to go for but I eventually I narrowed it down to Brother and Janome for price and what I wanted from the machine. I was finally influenced by a friend of mine who is a happy owner of a Janome sewing machine. I am so glad I was! I bought the CXL 301 and it is a joy to use. It has everything I wanted and some! I am delighted with my purchase and would highly recommend.
I also found Sewing-machines-Sales good to deal with and the delivery people kept me up to date on the expected time of delivery and gave a delivery slot of an hour which they easily honoured. All in all I am a happy bunny. (Posted on July 28, 2015)

Macclesfield Review by Kelly
I really enjoy using this machine. I went on a basic beginners course and these were the machines used and so felt comfortable to buy one knowing I would be able to do the basics but could learn a little more (like the auto needle threading, button holes, different stitches). I think a good starter machine (Posted on April 9, 2014)
Lincolnshire Review by Bensimgym
Received before estimated delivery date. Machine is just what I wanted and at a really good price. Computerised with a bit of embroidery. The selling point for me was that I could use the machine without the foot pedal as I have arthritis in my knee. Looking forward to many happy sewing years! (Posted on January 27, 2014)

Great machine. Love Janome. Good clear-view bobbin, needle-up / down, and needle threader ( a must have). Best of all is the adjustable speed button. A good all rounder. Clear instructions when changing length and width of stitches. Great Service too from Sewing Machine Sales - including next day delivery. (Posted on March 21, 2013)
Plymouth Review by Jenns Patch
Really pleased with this smooth running un-complicated machine. Love the functions including the needle down or up selection when machine stops sewing. Also the clear bobbin lid so I can see when the thread has run out! Highly recommend it and very good value for money. (Posted on October 14, 2011)
Essex Review by rmc
I am new to sewing machines (being a knitter all my life) but went on a course sewing a tote bag and was hooked. I learnt on a Janome and was advised not to buy the most basic or the most complicated but somewhere in the middle. This seems to fit the bill and more. You can use the machine without the foot pedal and the automatic needle threader is a dream as my eyes are not quite what they were!
I have sewn a silk pillowcase and a brocade bag already and it has been wonderful. It managed to go through several layers of the brocade with no problem.
I do have to constantly check the manual on how to thread it etc but I am sure it won't be long before I can put the manual away.
I loved the fact it was a Breast Cancer Awareness one as well, it's a nice looking machine and I am thrilled.
It came the next day and the price could not be beaten. Believe me I checked thoroughly.
All in all this was a great buy and I am extremely happy. (Posted on February 3, 2011)
