The first machine that allows you to do needle punch felting. It doesn't require thread, nor a bobbin, or any previous sewing experience. The Janome FM725 also includes a tutorial DVD to get you started.
You can achieve amazing, one-of-a-kind fabric effects on your first try and its so easy to operate, even a child can use it right away. Instead of one needle, it uses five needles joined into a single unit, so they move up and down in unison. On the sides of each needle are tiny barbs and as the needles pierce the top layer of material, these barbs catch the individual fibres and push them down into the bottom layer.
If your new to felting or embellishments, this smart embellisher requires no thread. That’s right, the FM525 requires no threading it simply "meshes" fabrics together using 5 special barbed needles. Simply move the fabric freely under the needles to create any look or design and texture combinations that simply cannot be achieved with embroidery, applique or any other kind of needlework. Make all your projects from garments to wall hangings, using paper, yarns, fabric, ribbon, threads, feathers, in fact all your old scraps can be used to make the most exotic garments, quilts and other decorative items.
In needle felting there is no "right side" or "wrong side." Whether you push the fibres through from the front or back depends on the effect you're trying to achieve, experimentation is part of the fun.
The fm725 embellisher is extremely easy to use and opens up a world of new possibilities for beginning and advanced sewing and craft enthusiasts alike, its ideal for schools and colleges.
Accessories included with the fm725 - How-to / Techniques DVD, Single hole needle plate, 3x spare needles, single needle holder unit (replaceable needle), 2 x needle unit with needles, lint brush, hex screwdriver, screwdriver, Instruction book, foot control and lead.

Brighton Review by vikkiknit
I bought this Janome needle felting machine although I have used the Babylock Embellisher up until now as I work in education and we bought the Embellisher when it was the only one on the market. The price of the Janome machine is much more reasonable than the Babylock, and in my opinion there is little to choose between them. The Janome is the lighter Embellisher, and its plastic body is probably as tough, but for personal use that is fine for me. The addition of the 5 needle head with replaceable needles and the extension table was the clincher for me, as the table is a must for larger items of work. and the fixed needle head was a drawback on the original machine spec. Overall I am very satisfied with the machine. (Posted on December 28, 2013)
Berkshire Review by Alpaca mad
O what fun - would recommend getting the extra needle holder which means you can change individual needles as they break easily - rather than replace the whole thing. The extension table is really useful looking forward to playing with this all over Christmas! (Posted on December 23, 2013)
Holywell, North Wales Review by Sizzle Jane
Delighted with my new machine which is light to carry round and easy to use. I have always wanted to do needle felting but due to a disability have never had the strength or stamina for hand needle felting. This machine takes all the strain and creates some interesting and beautiful fabrics. I've already got some lovely samples and that's only after an hour on the machine. Really looking forward to producing some lovely artwork for my art degree. (Posted on January 19, 2012)
Lincolnshire Review by Moira West
Very nice machine although the needles are small gauge which is a pity as a more robust needle would be more suitable for my work. (Posted on August 24, 2010)
Liverpool, UK Review by Christa
Wonderful embellisher machine for producing pain free felt & textile art. The extension table is a good size; really useful and it comes with spare needles, although I've yet to break one.
It's incredibly easy to use; has saved me hours of time. All you need are fabrics/fibres and imagination! I really don't know how I managed without it! Highly recommended. (Posted on June 25, 2009)
Hampshire UK Review by Mrs Smith
Fantastic machine for creating textile art, extremely easy to use, will use up all those scraps of fabric that you thought you would never use and produce stunning results. This is however not a sewing machine read the technical review for more info. (Posted on January 14, 2008)
