This is the all Black verion of the super jeans 15 range, it is designed to sew denim and heavy fabrics, the performance sound and speed of the machine is not affected and it can easily deal with several layers of fabric, which is great when sewing on patches and top stitching.
We put it to the test stitching through several layers of denim at a time. By the 7th layer the sewing machine was still powering through the fabric. By layer 11 it was just starting to flag a little…pretty good going I would say! One of the images shows a bag we made while getting to know this Super Jeans sewing machine. The close-up image shows how it stitched over 11 layers of heavy weight denim, plus one layer of ric-rac tape. You can tell we like this model.

France Review by Nigel Barton
I had been struggling to sew replacement leather covers for a sofa and decided my Singer machine needed replacement. Having read reviews on the Toyota Super Jeans I went to sewing machines website. Not only was the machine in question in stock at a competitive price there was a clear, informative video link demonstrating how the Super Jeans easily sews through several layers of material with ease. A great purchase and a pleasure to use this quiet sewing machine. (Posted on November 16, 2016)

West bromwich Review by Amanda
This is the first machine I have had from new and i am really chuffed with it. I’m into up cycling and have used it on a pair of jeans, sewing right through the belt loops was easy. I personally wouldn’t try it on 15 layers as it claims (I think it was this many). I have done 8 and i felt it start to work hard. I have also used it on ain bed sheet and it was fantastic on that. With no fiddling around with tensions etc I went from one to the other. I was expecting it to be heavier but it’s nice and light to move around. The price was. Cheaper than anywhere else and included a free set of scissors which are also really good - though I admit I am an amateur.
All in all I think a really good machine that will do everything you need a machine to do! The service from this website was also first rate.

Isle of sheppey Review by tweaky
The infancy of a new business and I ws struggling with my pfaff tiptronic and thickness of materials I needed to sew.
This little machine is fantastic it does what it says on the box.
I needed to sew several thicknesses of quilted material this does it though I need to go slow but its a lot better than the pfaff.
wish I had found this last year but its earning its keep now.
5 stars for a brilliant product.
there is down side though and that is the light it is quite useless I need to use a reading lamp when sewing in the evenings.
This is the only improvement I could think of (Posted on May 27, 2014)
burnley lancashire Review by JEANETTE
I purchased this machine a couple of weeks ago so have had time to play and experiment with it,firstly I must say the service and price was just outstanding!! you could not ask for more. It came with far more than I expected ie: accessories etc,. I first tried it out on heavy duty fabrics,ie: denim etc and 'FANTASTIC" TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE!!, However tried it out on lighter fabrics and it did struggle and miss stitches. I was not going to give up on this machine and invested in multiple needles and "BINGO" this machine can do the lot!!! for example,if you want to sew something thin and stretchy buy some 'super stretch' needles, great for viscose/elastane/lycra/wool etc...the finer the fabric the lower number needle you require, trust me ladies/gents!! its all in the needles!! the heavier the fabric/the higher number needle!!. this machine is amazing trust me, despite its lightness and so called flimsyness from other reviews of this machine its a definite bargain!! use it correctly and TRUST ME!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IN THIS BABY!!!,JUST BUY IT !! IT IS FANTASTIC!! JMxx (Posted on April 13, 2014)
Herefordshire Review by sewing wasp
I did a fair bit of reviews research before deciding upon this sewing machine which was replacing my old and excellent Frister Rossman after 33 years of good use. My sewing experience spans 45 years and, although I would not claim to be a high end professional, there is virtually nothing that I haven't made in the world of sewing. I know what I want from a machine - something that is capable of a very wide range of tasks and that is light weight but not too flimsy. I think I have found it in the Toyota Super Jeans. It is certainly a lot lighter that my old machine which was really getting too heavy to get out and put away. Although the Toyota feels a bit plasticy, this doesn't seem to affect it's sewing ability. The one feature I do like is its ability to sew properly through thick layers of fabric. This is so useful when doing alterations - particularly waistbands and trouser seams. It also handles fleece fabric really well. Other things I like about the Toyota are the ease of changing and attaching the various sewing feet - simply a matter of pressing a release button to remove one attachment and then lowering the pressure foot on to the next fitting where it just snaps into place. I also like the self threading needle gadget which saves such a lot of time when you just keep missing the blinking needle trying to thread it. It's not especially noisy in operation and the foot control feels nice and responsive and reasonably smooth. The price was another plus factor at £124 free shipping and very prompt delivery from www.sewingmachine-sales.co.uk. There are a couple of design features which could be improved. The on-board light is totally inadequate. Add to that the all black colour of the machine and you really need a secondary light to see what you're doing. The white machine would have been better - but it was more expensive! Says a lot .... The little storage box for the other bits and bobs - bobbins and sewing feet which came with the machine is hopeless. It clicks onto the front/side of the machine in a very awkward and clumsy way and when you get it off - in a bit of a jerk, all the content fall out as - guess what - it doesn't have a lid! Conversely, there is a very useful hinged flap on the front of the machine which contains a well thought out reference booklet, but also has room for some bobbins and the seam unpicker. The whole machine is not a streamlined vision of elegance, but it does the job pretty well and, for me, is the right machine. (Posted on March 8, 2014)

Lancashire Review by Col
A machine for all thickness's of material!!! I was intending to buy a semi industrial machine to sew upholstery material, but I was advised to look at this machine instead. (By a lovely lady who just happened to be passing and heard my conversation with an assistant! This lady had just bought one from Create and Craft for her mother, who was delighted. I was in the right place at the right time for once in my life!!) I don't want all the fancy stitches and this machine has just the basic ones, which is fine. It has sewn through everything I have given it - although 8 thckness's of furnishing material had to be taken very slowly! I miss the swing needle option - this needle only moves to the left , but I am managing to move the material instead. Great value for the money!!!! (Posted on December 20, 2013)
dorset Review by charlieannatom
I am so happy with my new toyota super jeans sewing machine. To date I have sewn denim, chenille, upholstery weight fabric, oilcloth, normal cottons, pul fabric and it has coped admirably. I make bags so I am often sewing through multiple layers of fabric. The special gliding foot is excellent although it is a bit tricky to put on as there could be a bit more space between the foot and the platform. I have also found it a little tight when opening zips mid-insertion (using a normal foot as I get all wobbly with a zipper foot). I also have struggled with the needle threader but don't know if its me or the machine…not something I really needed anyway.
There is no variable stitch length but the range of stitches available is more than adequate for my needs. I love the regular foot too…it is part see through plastic and has several guides built into it for great stitching accuracy. All in all, for the money, I absolutely love this machine. It is quiet, steady and stitches perfectly even through multiple layers of fabric. (Posted on November 21, 2013)
