Do you do lots of heavy duty sewing? This machine is the best one for the job.
The Super Jeans 34 is a monster, considered the highest spec machine in the Toyota range. The power of the machine enables it to sew through multiple layer with the greatest of ease. Included with this machine is the specialist Gliding foot specifically for the Toyota Super Jeans sewing machine, it makes sewing through thick hem easier, along with the adjustable presser foot pressure you will have no problem climbing up those thick layers.
We've done, the first thing we did when we started selling the Toyota Super Jeans was put it to the test. We made the denim bag you see in the photos, The Super Jeans made light work of it all. We went through 11 layers of denim and the machine just kept on sewing and did it quietly. Usually when you sew through multiple layers of thick materials the machine thuds, this happens when the chassis is flexing and the machine is straining. Not with the Super Jeans not with it's ergonomically designed folded metal chassis. Everything about this machine is regimented, mechanical and rigid.
The machine is very easy to us with 34 pre determined stitch functions it makes stitch selection hassle free. All you do is turn the dials to select the stitch you want and the machine sets the perfect width for you, there is versatility in length for the first selection of stitch functions is you needed it. The stitches available include: Straight stitch, ZigZag, Blind hem, decorative stitches, Stretch stitches, mending and overcast stitches, Reinforced stitches and Applique stitches. So there's plenty to choose from. Plus a four step button hole.

Great product for that money. (Posted on January 19, 2017)
Birmingham Review by arran sneddon
Brilliant machine light weight performance is extremely good. But doesn't do it any justice on light weight materials this is for leather denim thick materials. it just sews right through I'm really impressed with the machine and the service I received delivery was so rapid definitely buy again from you.
Thank you (Posted on November 7, 2016)
Leeds Review by Alexei Winter
This is my first machine and, so far, I am finding it a very good purchase. The first project I tackled was a 1940s denim apron which, in places, involved sewing through 8 or 9 layers of heavy denim. The machine coped really well with it. The noisiness that some people have mentioned probably has something to do with its power under these conditions - I have since sewn some simple patchwork in simple cotton and for this it is nice and smooth/quiet.
It was important to me that the foot pedal was nice and responsive (my mother's machine has a pedal that it far too sensitive), so I was pleased that this one has a good power curve that allows control. It is also pretty light and easy to move around without seeming too flimsy. The only negative thing I can think of is that, when sewing with lighter materials, the feed does tend to pull slightly to one side.
All in all, a good purchase and I'm looking forward to using it more and getting to know it.
I must say a word about Sewing Machine Sales: they're great. They answered my questions on the phone, arranged very fast delivery and chucked in a couple of nice little extras with the machine. Thanks guys! (Posted on September 27, 2016)
Anglesey Review by Sharon Jones
I was surprised at how light this machine is to lift and carry, I was expecting a much heavier machine. My first test was through 12 pieces of jeans weight denim and it had no problem with this. The gliding foot is a big advantage on the machine. It took a while to get used to the mechanical "feel" of the Super Jeans 34 as my other machines are all computerised and less "clunky" feeling. I found the threading system a little awkward, especially the guide just above the needle. It didn't feel very intuitive. The clear plastic cover over the bobbin case is not easy to remove or replace and I seem to struggle with it every bobbin change.
I consider myself a fairly proficient person with a sewing machine as I own six, but I found the instructions poor. There was nothing in the instruction sheet about how to switch the dial mode to get the stitches marked A-S ( though it's possible it's on the DVD? I've not played it yet ) and I had to look at a you tube video for help. Again, maybe I struggled as I'm used to computerised machines. I found the little quick guide flip chart thing of no use whatsoever. You can't reverse sew with the gliding foot, had I read the instructions first about that I wouldn't have broken two needles (totally my own fault) but I also broke two needles reversing with the straight foot which was a little worrying.
I really don't think I would attempt to sew any fabric other than denim or upholstery weight fabric on this machine, and certainly not thin delicate fabrics, but that's ok as I bought it specifically as a budget machine for occasional heavyweight stuff and jeans work which it's genuinely good for but I personally don't think I could use it for anything else. The machine was being sold at an excellent offer price which is why I bought it, but had I paid the usual recommended retail price I think I probably would have been a little disappointed, but only because I am so used to computerised machines. I missed the luxury of a needle up/down mode and it just didn't feel like an accurate sew somehow for anything other than heavyweight fabrics. But as that's all I will be using it for, it's good enough for that job. (Posted on June 17, 2016)
Spain Review by MARTA NUET
I was looking for a heavy duty machine at a home machine price and this has been the best choice as far as I've seen in a few days of using it. I also own a singer brilliance machine from January and the singer fails in many hard jobs while this ones works smooth and efficiently. (Posted on May 16, 2016)

Northamptonshire Review by Linda Dickens
Had this machine a few weeks now,. just completed a pair of curtains, machine runs really smooth and stitches beautifully. The only problem I had was I found it hard to change the needle and ended up with my husband doing it for me. (Posted on February 26, 2016)
East Sussex Review by Neal
Having never sewn before this is my first sewing machine and have to say it's been remarkably easy to pickup so far. The manual for it was easy to read through and work out what you have to do, the quick guide though was a bit of a non starter for me as I didn't know one end of the machine from the other, once you've threaded the machine and done few bits and pieces the quick guide then made sense so would highly recommend using the main manual that comes on the disc before doing anything if this is your first machine. The machine itself has done everything I've needed so far and seems well made and thought out. I've mended a few pairs of jeans and trousers with it and now currently have the largest needle fitted with some large V69 canvas kite thread and it's going through multiple layers of cordura (for a project) with no problem. Overall a great and well recommended machine. (Posted on February 13, 2015)
Clacton-on-sea Review by pampa
absolutely beautiful machine - whisper quiet (compared to my old machine ) easily controlled the top loading bobbin took a couple of tries to get it right, but very clear instructions this was just a case of re-training my way of doing things once I'd got the concept it's fabulous no more struggling bent half over, in my own light trying to get a little bobbin into an equally small space over-all happily recommend my sewing pile has diminished and new projects are at long last getting done :)

Canvey Island, Essex Review by Mina
I have my Super jeans 34 now, and have given it a test run! Only a couple of little niggles, I find the extension table, does not fit as snug and neatly as I would've liked, however once on, and working at speed on long runs it is stable and does not move! The other thing is, that the bobbins are not a standard size, (I guess a bit thicker to withstand a jeans pummelling!) You only get 3 with the machine, which is no way enough, so I've just ordered a 10 pack, along with a gathering foot and invisible zipper foot. (the foot is perfectly visible... but the zips wont be!) On the whole, I love the (almost) black colour, looks business like, not too heavy for me to lift if need be, all stitches easy to access, and button holes look nice & professional. Not tried the walking foot yet.. Love being able to adjust stitch width and pressure! No felt on the needle spool, so made my own. This machine is now an alternative to an industrial, which I've no longer got room for, and it will be used in a professional capacity.. There are a few more fancy feet available, including a 'flower loom foot' (only fits this model of Super Jeans because it needs the drop feed) Check out Toyota's page for them, from the link via their facebook page (where I post frequently & which is good for asking questions and advice)
I find Toyota machines very good value for money, as to those other expensive brands which you are pushed into buying at a local sewing shop!
Super Jeans I love it! (Posted on January 14, 2014)

like the machine performance as it replaced my previous old machine. Pleased with choice of stitches. Only thing that bothers me is that it sometimes makes a loud noise for no reason. Apart from that it is fine. (Posted on September 20, 2013)
