We have all heard of Kirstie Allsopp, TV Presenter, Business Woman and Journalist. And we are also aware that she has the sponsor of one of the largest sewing machine brands in the world today...Janome, Which she proudly advertises use of on her TV programme Kirsty's Homemade Home. I wonder If she uses or even prefers a different machine???

We have in our possession a PFAFF Quilt Expression 4.0 which was used on camera by kirstie Allsopp and Mandy Shaw.

Why, when she has the choice of the entire Janome range would she choose to use a PFAFF machine?

Well we've looked into it and here is our conclusion.

The name "Janome" (Japanese) literally means "snake's eye", possibly the worlds most reputable sewing machine company to date, The Pine Sewing Machine factory was founded in Japan on October 16, 1921. In 1935, the Janome trade-mark was established, and the company was renamed to Janome Sewing Machine Co., Ltd. in 1954. From day one they have maintained the highest manufacturing standard possible. When you buy a Janome from the lowest range to highest range you can sleep easy knowing your the proud owner of one of the best machines around, Alternatively when you sell a Janome you know you have done right by the customer and as tearful as it might be, you as a dealer will never see that machine again. Janome Sewing Machines are renowned for there robustness and ease of use, they don't beat around the bush, what you see is what you get. The higher up the price range you go the more you get that is what I love about them, you know all the inner working are just as good as the next one up so do you really need the one with all the fancy stitches? or is it fancy stitches your after. Janome have a massive rang which is can practically be tailored to each customers needs, what ever you want to do you know somewhere theres a Janome that will help you do it.

PFAFF was founded in Kaiserslautern Germany in 1862 by instrument maker George Michael PFAFF (1823–1893). PFAFF's first sewing machine was hand-made, and designed to sew leather in the manufacture of shoes. PFAFF are the leaders in their industry...fact. Known and used globally and over 186 years PFAFF have built and maintained the reputation of being the best sewing machine manufacturers in the world. The reason for this is simple PFAFF machines aren't like normal machines, They take a hobby like sewing and turn it into an art. Boasting over 500 different types of stitches available. However the machines themselves are only as precise and as accurate as their users, the machine will do exactly what you want it to do to the finest detail, but you have to ask it correctly and be able to control it. PFAFF owners are usually masters of their trade who use the machine to it's full potential and love it be it Sailmakers, Upholsterers or Quilters. As a sales man the only dilemma you face when selling a PFAFF machine is not wether the machine is right for the customer, It's wether the customer is right for the machine. The PFAFF range is not as vast as some other manufactures but where it does exist is at the top.
