Singer Heavy Duty 4423 has all the power you'll ever need. It packs the power and speed to quickly take on any sewing project, remember like i mentioned earlier at 1100spm. Perfect for personal tailoring projects, it is reliable, efficient and suitable for everyday use.
Renowned heavy duty styling and high build quality needed for years and years of trouble free sewing. It has 23 stitch functions including many stretch stitches as well as one-step automatic button holes and built in auto needle threader. It also has an lever at the rear that can quickly be moved into position which will drop the feed dog and allow darning or free motion embroidery.
It wont win any beauty competition because of it's battleship grey colour, but personally i like it. It has its own individual style and Singer has deigned the 4423 Heavy Duty with simplicity in mind, threading is a breeze. Lay the thread in the groove helps
allow threading this machine in less than six seconds! The top loading bobbin, auto de-clutch bobbin winder and twin needle sewing option make it a good buying decision. It also has a full range of utility and stretch stitches.

The machine was delivered very promptly and the price was excellent.
The machine itself is very smooth and quiet and it performs exactly as required. It is significantly lighter than my more complex Elna machine but it is well-balanced. It is a fairly simple machine and easy to use but has good heavy-duty performance. -
The machine arrived before the estimated date. I haven't made anything with it yet because only just ordered fabric. Tried all the stitches on the dial and very pleased with the result. It's not heavy to carry around, which is great. Only downer is the dust cover. It doesn't fit the machine and won't stop any dust because there's a hole in the top for the handle. I'll make one out of vinyl one day. The free gift will come in very handy - thanks. Best price I could find and for what appears to be a great machine, though time will tell. I would certainly order more stuff from this supplier.

I bought my first heavy duty machine 2 years ago when I set up a small business making clothes for children. It was reliable and performed the basics of dressmaking as required. I have purchased a 2nd machine for my daughter because I believe it is ideal for someone who requires a reliable workhorse.

I love this machine, it's chunky, fast and mechanical. Not quite as dainty as my Pfaff but stitches well and goes like the clappers! Very happy with it and it does what it says on the tin. So far, very happy with it and the service from this company :-)

I bought this to replace a much loved husqvarna which I had used for years until it wore out. I don't need all sorts of fancy stitches, just basics, but need a good workhorse as I use my machine every day. I also have a ***** which can do 501 stitches but it's hopeless with more than 2 thickneses of even basic cotton fabric. This Singer is brilliant, copes with oilcloth very well and is really fast which is a bonus. I love the top loading bobbin too as you can see when it is going to run out.
All in all a good sturdy machine for heavy use, if you don't need all the fancy embroidery stuff. -
Very easy to set up and in use very quickly. Quite small footprint but seems capable of all domestic requirements. Only four stars as this is a heavy duty machine with a somewhat less than heavy duty control pedal.
Range of stitch speed for a domestic is excellent . Price very reasonable for this type of machine. Well worth considering if you are buying a new sewing machine. -
