Have your plastic filler plate tailor-made! It can be cut to fit perfectly around your machine, whichever it maybe, old or new...Horn can cut them all!

This insert is a piece of high tensile crystal clear plexiglass or plastic and can be custom cut to fit around your machine. The insert/inset fills the gap between the sewing machine and the opening of the cabinet. When fitted around your machine and set within your cabinet, the insert or inset will turn your domestic machine into a flatbed industrial with a massive extended work area, without the noise, mess or weight. Simply select your machine brand and model and we'll do the rest.

Why have it uncut?
Well, an uncut or blank insert can be very handy...what I like to do with mine in my Horn Cub is strategically position some white polycotton over the insert and a daylight lamp  under the table as an up-lighter. This gives you have the best lightbox that you could possibly wish to own, it is perfect for when I'm doing papercraft, cross-stitch or patchwork.

The inserts and insets are available in various sizes to fit all Horns sewing cabinets and machines. The gap in the cabinet is measured to a specific size, this size will correlate to the insert or inset you will receive.

INSERTS and INSETS are different. Please see the sizes below.

As you can see in the photo above, this is the INSERT type with a lip edge. The filler plate sits slightly elevated on top of the cabinet but is secured so will not slide around and is held in place by the perspex edge lip.

There are several INSERT sizes available:

• #1925 - 300 wide x 285mm deep, for the Horn Foldaway sewing table and Hide-away table.
• #1927 - 480 wide x 285mm deep (Standard size)
• #1929 - 530 wide x 285mm deep (Long size),
• #1932 - 615 wide x 325mm deep (for the Maxi lift)

We also have the INSET type, it has no lip, as you can see in the picture above. This filler plate is slotted into place and secured by sitting on a ledge, inside the cabinet opening.

The INSET type filler plate is needed for many of the newer type cabinets and includes:

• #1939 - 545 wide x 300mm deep (Nova)
• #1942 - 615 wide x 330mm deep (for the Quilters Delight and the Elements sewing table)
• #1952 - 625 wide x 339mm deep (Maxi Insert, for the Sewers Vision Cabinet)
• #1972 - 480 wide x 285mm deep  (New Cub cabinet)
• #1992 - 530 wide x 285mm deep (New Gemini Cabinet)

***When measuring the gap width, measure from left to right as you are facing the cabinet. The depth is from front to back.

***These filler plates can be purchased separately... either cut to machine shape or uncut for a ready-made craft lightbox or up-lighter. They are ideal for quick and easy tracing of drawings, pictures and designs, art, embossing, quilting, stenciling and many other crafts and projects!
