This is the latest SilverLink, by DesignaKnit. It is version 5. It is used to allow a Silver Reed electronic knitting machine to communicate with your Windows PC.
Using the included SilverLink box, power lead and USB cable, you have the ability to download knitting patterns to the knitting machine.
The SilverLink box is connected via the curly cable which plugs in to the main carriage. (Included with a knitting machine)
The pattern is downloaded to the SilverLink box before beginning to knit and remains in its memory until the next pattern or section of pattern is downloaded. The Silverlink 5 may be powered off without the pattern being lost.
Once a pattern has been downloaded to the box. SilverLink box can hold the pattern data in fact it can store an incredible 16,000 knitting rows of data.!
Intarsia knitting with the AG50 carriage is fully supported.
