If you have a white, cream or pale coloured fabric, you needn't worry, but if you have a dark or brightly coloured fabric you'd like to change to another colour, you'll need to remove that colour before you dye, for the best results. DYLON Pre-Dye makes it pretty easy to do this, it lightens fabric to a neutral shade, creating a 'blank canvas' that you can dye any colour.

It is specially formulated to remove or lighten existing colour before applying a new dye shade. Ideal for changing dark or strong colours to lighter tones, Pre-Dye helps prepare fabrics for a more even and vibrant final result. Whether you're updating clothing, soft furnishings or craft fabrics, it’s a simple way to achieve a fresh new look.

Designed for use in automatic washing machines, Dylon Pre-Dye works on natural fabrics and nylon, helping to strip back colour so fabrics are ready for re-dyeing. It’s perfect for colour changes such as dark brown to bright red or for creating softer pastel shades from darker fabrics.

Easy to use and highly effective, one 200g pack treats up to 500g of dry fabric. Suitable for cotton, linen and viscose blends with natural fibres. Not suitable for wool, silk, polyester, acrylic or fabrics with special finishes
