This is the smokey clear plastic plate that covers the bobbin case. It clips into place and stops the bobbin from jumping out of position. It is a slight different to the regular Innovis type, this one is suitable for the A series models. Because it can be easily lost, maybe its best to have a spare in your sewing box..!
