Suitable for most top loading Janome sewing machines. Sometimes called a bobbin case this black plastic part is located under the needle plate, it tensions the bobbin thread and holds the bobbin in position.

I've bought this bobbin holder for sewing that needs bobbin tension adjusted, leaving my origial bobbin holder set as is. I'm hoping this will mean I can just change the bobbin holder rather than mess with the tension here. Even taking the plate off to swap over has to be easier than adjusting the tension ;)

My wife's Janome sewing machine was very noisy from lower bobbin holder area. On examination, found that bobbin rotation had worn a groove in the wall of the bobbin holder. Ordered part, replaced same and machine quiet again. Worth noting for other customers with a similar problem.

Great to have a spare so I can leave one set for normal sewing while having a go at free embroidery. Salesman was very helpful as wasn' t sure which would fit my machine.
