Bernina V series freehand embroidery, darning, monograms and quilting, all of which can be achieved using this presser foot.
The vertical spring action presses the darning foot to the fabric, preventing the fabric from lifting along with the needle, and thereby ensuring reliable stitch formation, on single or multiply layers of fabric. This makes for perfect darning, but this foot can also be used for quilting light to medium-weight quilts.
