Use it for gathering single layers, for gathering and simultaneous stitching it to a flat piece of fabric.
Use one fabric layer under the foot, while the other is fed between the narrow gap on the gathering foot plate, to produce perfect gathers on lightweight materials.
The gathering foot is a popular choice and can be used on projects when any type of fabric gathering is needed.
