Brothers NEW Double sided piping foot is ideal for piping up to 6mm cord. The underside of the foot has a beautifully crafted smooth double channel to position you piping left or right of the center needle position. Not only that but this foot has a zigzag needle hole as apposed to the normal straight stitch needle hole this will allow you to get even closer or further away from your work.
A piping foot is used to apply a fabric cover corded edge to your seams such as on cushion cover and bags. The grooves underneath hold the round cord perfectly in place and guides it precisely for your machine to sew. This foot is especially helpful when sewing cord blindly through layers of fabrics.
