Piping is a great accent for tailored detailing on garments and home decor items, in contrast colours, stripes, etc. The deep grooves in the foot guide the piping cord so it is inserted tightly into the seam line. If ready made piping cord is not available or if you just want to make your own, the piping foot is ideal for the job. Maximum cord size is 5 mm.
