This closed free motion spring foot from Husqvarna is ideal for quilting and stitching. It gives great visibility around the foot and the red markings on the foot are useful for stitch guiding.
The spring is to ensure the fabric won't lift with the needle when the stitch is formed. This will help stopping thread breakage with speciality or heavy threads.
