This is a clip-on foot which has a special slippery base made of Teflon. Once the foot in in place on your sewing machine you can set the stitches to ether straight, zigzag or even a decorative stitch. The foot makes it easier to sew over leather, vinyl, plastic type materials. I have also used this foot to sew satin. The foot seems to glide over the fabric being sewn with ease.
Use this foot the same way as you would the standard zigzag foot on Janome machines with 9MM stitch width..
