Capacitor Out Of Foot Control Or Motor
Delivery: 3-4 Working Day(s) (Next day optional)
Expected Delivery Date is Wednesday, July 13th
This part is called a capacitor or used to be called a condenser. It is used inside the foot control of a sewing machine, a sewing machine motor or sometimes inside the off/on switch. From time to time it will burn out and need to be replaced, usually when it burns our you will get a strong smell with a puff of smoke.
This capacitor fits thousands of machines, too many to name, if you need advice please call us.
This capacitor is approx 17mm x 10mm x 4 mm deep. It probably will not look the same shape as the original one you need to replace, but it will do the same job when fitted correctly.
Also please note, because this part is now not manufactured by a sewing machine manufacture it is sourced else where and may have shorter leads than the image or original. The short lead type is ideal for fitting on to motor PCB's, but the leads may need to be extended for fitting into foot controls.

Once I had established the problem, finding the part on the web site was easy. Lots of clear information and quick delivery. A quick bit of soldering and the machine is working fine. Excellent service.
Capacitor blew on my wife’s precious, 40 year old Brother sewing machine. Replacement took about 10 minutes to fit, now working again!
i contacted sewingmachinesales over the weekend to ask if this capacitor would be compatible with the machine i needed to repair. i got a response within an hour , great service.
Delighted with this purchase. It has got my once trusty Bernina 730 Record bought in 1971 back to working condition after being out of service for over 25 years at a fraction of the price of a new pedal. I will be trying it out when I decide what I want to make.
Very satisfied that you could provide spares for such an old machine as the Singer 401.
Excellent service. Capacitor delivered quickly and well packaged in a funky red padded envelope.
Capacitor was easy to fit on the 185k machine's foot pedal...just clamped the wire end under each screw.
Foot pedal restored to proper working order.
It seems to have fixed my Springer 257 just fine. Straightforward to undo two screws in the foot pedal and to solder in.
A new lease of life for the old sewing machine courtesy of sewing machine sales. Thank you very. Excellent Service.
My machine was running at high speed even though I wasn't operating the food pedal. I found out by searing on the internet that the capacitor was probably to blame. It was quite tricky getting the footplate apart because the screw had seized, but I finally managed it. You need a soldering iron to remove the old capacitor and fit the new one, but having done that, the machine now works perfectly.
I was about to throw this Singer into the bin when the motor would not stop running . However a query to your tech line produced the answer and even though the new part looked nothing like the original capacitor l soldered it on and everything works fine. Thank you.
