Do you have knitting wool that has been in a ravel and needs sorting out? If so, this is the tool that you need. It will quickly wind the yarn in to a neatly wound cone, that can be pulled off the winder. It will keep its shape. It is best practice to use the yarn end form the centre.

This hand-operated yarn winder has an oscillating metal yarn guide, with a centre spool that spins but does not move left to right.

Wool winders, yarn winders, or ball winders as they are often known as, are used to transform hanks of yarn into ready-to-use balls.

It can also be used to reduce the size of large comes in to smaller and more manageable sizes.
