Embroidery Schmetz Sewing Machine Needles

We are often asked by customer which needle should I use when sewing an embroidery design on my new computerised sewing machine. Well this is the needle you need. Use it when doing free-motion work or when the machine is stitching a design. It can be used when sewing with rayon or polyester threads as well as the fancy and specialised thread you normally find are difficult to sew with.

The needle has a longer eye to accommodate the fancy threads. The special scarf and wider thread groove helps prevent thread snapping during the high speed stitching some of these machines are now capable of.

These needles are suitable for all domestic sewing machines.

The needle code is: 130/705H also known as 15x1 where the shank is flat one side and round the other.

It's a good idea to have an assortment of needle sizes and types on hand in order to be able to experiment and find the one that works best for your combination of needle and thread.
