Tension unit complete for 6100 7100 8000 series Singer sewing machines, comes ready setup for easy fitting. Fitting involves removing the sewing machine top cover and loosening the small grub screw at the rear of the tensions unit that holds it in place, simply pull-out and remove the original. Insert this new tension unit and re-tighten the grub screw, the + & - symbols on the outer ring should be facing up, with the check spring on the left and the metal finger on line with the + & - ready to fit into the machine.
