BERNINA 500E Embroidery Only

The first dedicated embroidery BERNINA is the 500E that packs lots of power, and it can sew designs up to 40 cm x 15 cm - enough for a most. An incredible designs collection of ready to sew designs are built in. The 256 MB memory leaves enough space to edit or create your own custom designs and store them in the machine to stitch at a later date.

The twin spool pins mean, while one thread is being used to stitch, the other can be ready to start the next colour as soon as it’s needed. The B 500E will cut thread ends after letters of a word/name, or between colour changes on a more complex multi colour embroidery design.

With automatic thread cutting at the press of a button when needed, as well needle up/down, it is easy to navigate the full colour touchscreen, and when you’re ready to rethread after a colour change, use the integrated needle threader. 

The jump stitch cutter and Thread Away setting will pull any excess thread under the embroidery after it’s been cut, to leave a lovely, finished embroidery design, no need to reach for thread snips, which will save time cutting off excess thread ends by hand.

The length of the connecting thread between each embroidery block, or letters can be adjusted between 1 mm and 15 mm, the default setting is 6 mm. This means that all connecting stitches longer than 6 mm are cut automatically.

BERNINA has always been about the perfect stitch, and the B 500E is no exception. It has the BERNINA Hook for smooth, quite stitching. But it also means enjoying jumbo bobbins, holding 70% more thread, means longer embroidery run, without the interruption of having to refill an empty bobbin.

This BERNINA achieves a lovely embroidery finish using Adaptive Thread Tension to permanent control of the thread tension for constant and precise stitches.

The B 500E has an upper and lower thread sensor, which will inform you on screen of a thread brake or when the bobbin needs refilling... which in the case of the B 500E will be less often than most...!

Thread Away Mode can be selected when desired, and with an automated quick movement of the embroidery hoop it ensures the thread end is pulled to the wrong side under the fabric and out of view.

Design position in the hoop is via Pinpoint Placement - A feature for precise embroidery design placement, allowing you to select two points on your fabric and match them to the design's pre-determined points on the screen, ensuring perfect alignment even with crookedly hooped fabric.
