Designed for Quilting

The BX1 is equally at home when working on quilting projects. It features a large 254mm (10-inch) workspace to the right of the needle, providing extra room when handling larger quilts and projects. The Digital Dual Feed System helps provide even and consistent fabric feeding, while Brother's ICAPS Continuous Automatic Pressure System continuously detects fabric thickness and adjusts the presser foot pressure to help maintain consistent stitch quality.

For free motion quilting, the feed dogs can be dropped electronically with a simple touch of the screen. The BX1 is also ISR (Intelligent Stitch Regulator) compatible, giving quilters the option to expand their machine with compatible accessories.

Precision Sewing Features

The BX1 includes an external laser sewing guideline, providing a clear visual guide to help maintain accurate straight stitching. The pivot function, knee lift, electronic speed control and automatic thread cutter provide additional control and convenience while sewing.

The machine also features an advanced one action needle threader, quick set drop in bobbin, automatic upper thread tension and upper and lower thread sensors.

Advanced Sewing features with Curve Sewing

One of the standout features of the BX1 is Brother's innovative Curve Sewing function. Designed to make sewing curves, arcs and circles easier, the feed dogs help guide the fabric smoothly for even stitching without unwanted jags or jumps.

The BX1 also includes an impressive 754 built in sewing stitches, including 14 one-step buttonhole styles, five lettering styles and Brother's 'My Custom Stitch' function. Stitch tapering provides 20 tapering styles, while multi directional sewing allows you to create extra wide decorative stitches in up to eight directions.

Advanced Embroidery Features

The BX1 is packed with features designed to make embroidery more precise and efficient. The LED drop pointer and two point positioning system help you accurately place designs on garments, pockets, cuffs and other projects. The machine also includes a Matrix Copy function for quickly repeating applique motifs, automatic colour sorting to help reduce unnecessary thread changes, programmable jump stitch cutting and automatic stitch density adjustment with Brother's stitch to block function. Creative techniques are also built into the machine, including 3D applique, crochet couching, crochet lace and French knot embroidery, giving you even more ways to customise your projects

The BX1 offers a generous 360 × 200mm embroidery area, giving you plenty of space for larger designs, lettering and detailed embroidery projects. Two embroidery frames are included: 360 × 200mm and 180 × 130mm. With 774 built-in embroidery patterns, including 140 frame patterns and 23 embroidery fonts, there is a huge variety of designs to explore straight from the machine. Designs can be resized, rotated, mirrored and positioned directly on the large touchscreen.

Large 7-Inch Colour Touchscreen

The 7 inch colour LCD touchscreen provides a clear and intuitive way to select stitches, embroidery designs and machine settings. Embroidery designs can be edited directly on screen, with functions including rotation, mirroring, resizing, drag and drop positioning and zooming. The screen also provides a realistic preview of embroidery designs, making it easier to see how your finished design will look before you start stitching.

Wireless Connectivity

With built in wireless LAN connectivity, the BX1 can connect to compatible Brother apps and receive wireless firmware updates, helping keep the machine up to date. The machine can also connect with Brother Artspira, as well as Brother's embroidery digitising software programmes, providing additional options for creating and transferring designs.
