Bernina L450 Key Features:

• MTC (MICRO THREAD CONTROL) - Allows precise thread tension adjustment for every over-edge stitch, it is particularly well suited for sewing stretch and thin fabrics and can be fine-tuned at any time.
• 3 or 4-Thread Versatility - This is the heart of the L450's functionality. With a simple switch, you can move between the two most essential overlock stitches.
• Thread Safety Stitch - Creates an extremely strong and secure seam, ideal for constructing garments from woven fabrics (like denim, linen, or cotton) where durability is key. It uses two needles for a wider, more robust seam.
• 2-Thread Narrow Stitch - Perfect for finishing the raw edges of both woven and knit fabrics. It's also the preferred stitch for sewing and finishing lightweight and delicate fabrics like jersey, silk, and chiffon in one step, preventing stretching or puckering. This function is ideal for finishing the hem of scarves, napkins, table linens, and circle skirts.
• Differential Feed - This is a game-changer for handling tricky fabrics. The L450's differential feed system moves the fabric layers at slightly different rates. Use it to prevents stretching on stretchy knits, it ensures seams don't become wavy or distorted. It also prevents puckering on lightweight fabrics like silk, it feeds the fabric evenly to avoid gathers or puckering within the seam. • Built-in Rolled Hem - With a simple adjustment of the stitch finger and dials, the L450 can create a beautiful, narrow rolled hem
• Lay-in Threading for the Lower Looper - This innovative feature allows you to thread the trickiest thread path—the lower looper—without any tools. You simply "lay" the thread into the guide, making the initial setup and colour changes remarkably easy.
