Bernina L860 Overlocker

The Bernina L 860 isn't just an overlocker; it's an invitation to sew with complete confidence. The touchscreen offers a helpful Guided Mode that walks you through every step, or an Expert Mode for advanced users who want full creative control. The L 860 provides total stitch control, from fine-tuning the over-edge thread to adjusting settings while you sew, ensuring flawless, precise seams on any fabric.

What can i stitch? The Bernina L860 overlocker allows you to create everything from fine lingerie, stretchy fabrics, woven, denim to home decor with precision and ease. And it does it all with remarkably fast and quiet operation. Even the off-cuts are captured in the fabric catcher tray.

Need more space to attach a foot or insert ribbon? Just swing the foot to one side and when you are ready to sew, lowering the presser foot will swing it straight and ready to use as it is being lowered. 

Want a wider stitch? Adjust the cutting width dial to sew up to 9 mm wide overlock edge. 

Need to thread a needle? Just like a sewing machine, the L860 has an automatic needle threader to thread both needles. 

Choose not to cut the fabric as it is being overlocked? A quick push on the lever disengages the upper knife to stop the cutting action.

Need to lift the presser foot? Push in the knee-operated presser foot lift, Bernina's FHS leaves both hands free to manage the fabric while the presser foot is being raised or lowered.

Sewing larger projects needs more space? Slide on the extension platform to give a comfortably sized sewing area. Space to the right of the needle is also impressive at 163mm. 

Is it easy to thread? I know you won't have threading the looper problems like other overlockers, thanks to one-step threading. Also, the needle threading is just like a modern computerised sewing machine, simple.

Need to overlock the edge of some trousers? Slide off the sewing bed to reveal the sleeve arm, it helps while overlocking and tubular items.

Like the stitch setting you are using? Save all the setting to one of your personal memory slots, and recall it again next time you are using that fancy thread. 

Need to add ruffles? A quick reset of the differential feed dial to add gathers to lightweight fabrics while you're trimming the raw edge and overlocking it, all at the same time.  

Lost your tweezers? Look in the handy storage area behind the front panel, there's a place for each of the most used tools like tweezers. 

Think the overlock edge needs fine-tuning? Say hello to the Bernina MTC, the micro thread control dial gives you the ability to adjust the thread pull of the top or bottom threads to form a perfectly balanced overedge stitch.
