It comes with 160 types of stitches, 7 different types of buttonholes, 7 pressure adaptable presser feet, adjustable stitch length and width, and more.
As you can see from the image the Opal 650 is equipped with the sewing advisor that offers assistance on how to select different stitches, and settings for various kinds of fabric. Select the type of fabric and the advisor will recommend everything from the stitch width and length to the needle size, choice of presser foot, and more. The Fix and Stop features at the touch of a button can be used to reinforce stitches at the beginning and end of your stitching. Choosing a pattern/stitch is as simple as pressing its number into the keypad. It also comes with an large graphic screen showing the stitch to be sewn and more information like length, width, foot pressure, but don't worry all this is set automatically by the sewing advisor.
The Husqvarna Opal 650 comes with a large deck and 3 LED lights that make sewing easy on your eyes while the needle threader lets you thread needles in an instant. You can save your personal stitch setting and programs in the machine’s 4 memories that can save up to 20 stitches or letters in each memory. Other features include 29 needle positions that allows for precise positioning for edge stitching, topstitching, quilting, and more, a sew on button program, drop-in bobbin, and many other useful functions that make the Opal 650 worth much more than its price.

Such a neat machine with a multitude of stitch variations. I previously owned a manual Husqvarna machine. Moving on to a computerised machine has inspired me to take on new projects. To have dedicated quilting stitches on the programme and plenty of space to the right of the needle is ideal. Great machine. Not too heavy.
I love to use my new Opal sewing machine. It feels larger than my old one. But in fact it is only slightly bigger by a few cm's. The difference is I can get more fabric through the gap under the arm when sewing big quilt sections.
Now i can add my name to everything i make, often its hidden in seams. I am happy with my sewing results on this lovely machine.
