This popular foot is used for following the edge of plastic templates to create quilting blocks or some very fancy symmetrical patterns.
This is the low shank type and is made to fit most domestic sewing machine models which take the low shank fitting. The taller shank type can be found here.
To fit:
- Lower the feed dog, or fit your feed cover plate.
- Clip off the original foot and unscrew the foot holder shank.
- Screw this ruler foot into place, make sure the presser foot lifter is down.
- Adjust the ruler foot so it hovers above the needle plate by between 0.5 mm to 3mm depending on the material thickness you intend to stitch.
