The new Brother Inventio NV1850Q sewing machine delivers for any quilting task, it has an impressive range of features for the most demanding sewers and quilters. With 232 stitches and 5 alphabets at your fingertips you can explore your creativity on almost any sewing project - quilting, home furnishings, fashion or dressmaking with a huge assortment of dedicated stitches for each task.

It uses the latest Brother technology, and has "My Custom Stitch" included. Using it you can create your very own stitches and save them.

The sewing bed size is longer than most at 8.3" (210mm) to the right of the needle, and 4" high, to product a workspace large enough to handle larger quilt sizes. The sewing bed and needle area is well lit by an array of bright LED natural lighting.

Not so when using the Inventio NV1850Q, the ICAPS system automatically takes full control of thread tension and self adjusts for different thickness/weight of the fabric being sewn. More about the pivot function - Select the pivot function to have the machine simultaneously lift the presser foot while keeping the needle lowered. This allows you to keep your hands free to rotate your fabric and make perfect corners every time.

My custom stitch editing feature - Found a stitch that’s close to what you want but not quite perfect? Simply use the stitch editing feature on the LCD screen to adjust the width, height, density and size of many of the machine’s built-in stitches.

Sideways sewing - Sew straight in eight different directions, including sideways left or right, which eliminates pivoting of material, and in four directions with zigzag. Sew selected patterns extra wide, up to 40mm wide decorative stitches.

Fabric feeding - A longer presser foot and longer fabric feeding teeth, with 7-point feed dog, enable the 1850Q to accurately feed thicker fabrics and seams. Square Feed Drive System (SFDS) is a new method in the feeding system keeps the feed dogs fully engaged with fabric for the entire stitch length. There's also an automatic foot pressure system to cope with differences in fabric thickness.

Powerful DC motor - Working is in unison with the electronic foot control, ensures the full power of the motor is delivered for driving the needle through thick and dense fabrics.

Knee lift - Free up your hands by using your knee to lift the presser foot up - ideal for working on free-motion projects such as quilts.

Creative, dependable and loaded with lots of quilting stitches, the NV1850Q is perfect for all your quilting projects. Sewing with different thread types is also no problem, thanks to its automatic thread thickness tension system. For larger quilting projects, like wall hangings and quilt covers use the strong extra wide table it's a massive 22" x 16" and really does help when manipulating bed-sized quilts.
