The styling is the same as other machines in this range but this 2263 offers a little bit more. It has 23 stitches including button holes which has 4 steps, 5 stretch for the hard to sew lycra or jersey materials, which are known to be difficult to work with, not so when using the 2263.
It's the kind of machine you don't often need to refer to the instruction book. Each stitch can be viewed on the stitch dial, making for simple dial-a-stitch sewing. Length and width can be adjusted to set the machine to applique, making it possible for even novices to enjoy creative sewing.
As with other Singer tradition sewing machines, the bobbin is loaded from the front, a system which has been used for many years. For threading it is as simple as following the arrows and then straight through the needle eye, this sewing machine will help with awkward stitching tasks.
Even when sewing at slow speeds, the electronic foot control helps maintain a steady speed and stops the machine running on. When inserting zips or topstitching, the adjustable needle position helps for perfect parallel sewn lines to the seam edge and a quick push of the conveniently placed reverse lever, neatens start /end of the seam.
The alloy internal body for reliability, a built-in light providing light just when you need it, directly above the presser foot, which incidentally is the quick clip-on type.
A slide-off extension table for free-arm sewing, also has an accessory storage compartment. The accessories included are the general purpose zig-zag foot, small and large thread spool caps, four-step sliding button hole foot, zipper foot, button sewing on foot, seam ripper, lint brush, fabric guide, spare needles and extra bobbins and a feed cover plate for when you want to get creative with free-motion embroidery.
Key features: Strong, yet light weight, Adjustable width and lenght, 4-step buttonholes, 23 stitches.
