Some presses have what is called a sleeve board, which is a small thin ironing board or front extension which folds in and out on the press. It's ideal for shirt sleeves, trouser legs, children's clothes or small items. When finished simply fold the sleeve board away and the large ironing board slides in-to working position again.

Of coarse you can still iron sleeves with out the small sleeve board, but it does help with really small items.
