Is it difficult to push jaws down firmly on the steam press?
Is it difficult to push jaws down firmly on the steam press? Presses usually have two pressure pressing settings.
First press setting - move the pressing lever down to closed but not locked. Second press setting - Push the handle down further. The second applies up to 100 lbs of pressure to the garment.
The handle can be lowered if you have a fabric like velvet then you can close the plates to nearly closed (the first position) and press the steam button. There is no need for pressure to be put on fabric such as velvet.
