What temperature setting should you use for different fabrics? The temperature control settings are a good starting point to use for ironing different types of fabric.
For example; the cotton setting is a guide to iron cotton but there are other factors to take into account, the thickness, how many layers you are pressing, etc. A thin cotton shirt will possibly not need such a hot setting but a heavier cotton or maybe linen or denim will.
Polyester, nylon wool will need cooler settings, as will silk, velvet. If you are unsure, think what you would set a small iron setting at. It’s not that much different.
But one think you will notice is the heat will not put a shine on your best pants.
