Which is best? Will it sew thick fabric?

I love this machine, it's chunky, fast and mechanical. Not quite as dainty as my Pfaff but stitches well and goes like the clappers! Very happy with it and it does what it says on the tin. So far, very happy with it and the service from this company :-)

I bought this to replace a much loved husqvarna which I had used for years until it wore out. I don't need all sorts of fancy stitches, just basics, but need a good workhorse as I use my machine every day. I also have a ***** which can do 501 stitches but it's hopeless with more than 2 thickneses of even basic cotton fabric. This Singer is brilliant, copes with oilcloth very well and is really fast which is a bonus. I love the top loading bobbin too as you can see when it is going to run out. All in all a good sturdy machine for heavy use, if you don't need all the fancy embroidery stuff.

Great machine, this is my second embroidery machine, but the benefits of having a great sewing machine in one are definately worth the money! This was the cheapest price around and with free delivery! Great! The machine itself is very easy to use, easy to thread, easy to link to computer, so far really pleased!

Great little machine for a great price. I just needed a basic reliable machine as I as much as I'd like to spend hours on my machine I just don't have the time. This suited me perfectly. It's sturdy enough for a plastic machine. The only negative points are that it didn't come with a cover and you have to be a bit careful with the plastic opening for the bobbin as I'd say it wouldn't be too difficult to break it.

This is my first sewing machine so I can't really compare it to anything. I think that the machine is very good for beginners as it is so easy to handle. Top loading bobbin is good, also speed control option and fast bobbin winder It is lightweight and therefore easily portable. It also displays error codes that can be useful for the beginners like me. There's also a selection of stiches to choose from and I haven't tried the botton bottonhole sewing yet. My one concern is that the machine is a bit plastic. So far I'm happy with my purchase and i was happy with the delivery service also.
