Some models combine overlock stitches together with a cover hem stitch. These models usually use 5 threads, however, some use even more. In fact up to 8 threads.!

I pondered over buying the overlocker, wondering if I would use it often. I am glad I bought it. It is fantastic and has made my outfits so professional. No more raggy seams. I had a zigzag function on my sewing machine but this is so much better, in a league of it's own! I telephoned for advice which was so helpful and informative. My overlocker arrived as expected, no problems. My first challenge was a dark brown so I had to change the thread. I did as others had suggested and knotted the threads but a couple did not go through as planned. I panicked but had no need as it was so easy, following the diagram on the machine and printed instructions. If you are considering buying this overlocker, have no fears. It is a wonderful machine and can tackle anything,

Hiya, I am pleased with how convenient this over locker is to transport and the quality of the finishes it produces. I would definitely recommend it to other people however it is limited edition so may not be on the market for long.

I bought this machine about a month ago and I love, love it. It is so easy to use and the extra space upfront is just great. The variable speed of sewing is great. I do feel however the plastic dust cover is cheap and tacky , I would have thought Baby Lock could have done better than this. A seam guide would have been good too-- none of my niggles detract from the quality of the machine ---it is a fabulous sewing tool

I wish to send my appreciation to every member of staff who dealt with my orders of a Brother Overlocker 4234d and a flatbed Brother XR27NT sewing machine plus a beautiful work table by Horn. Not only are all these machines of first-class quality, BUT the workforce who dealt with me and my problems with being Very Deaf , were kind and understanding. Patience was their main quality and if anyone reading this message, needs to purchase a new sewing machine, then this is the company to contact for help all the way through the buying process. Duke and James must get a special mention with my sincere thanks. Can you publish this in your sales magazine or staff newspaper. If you are allowed to, you well deserve this accolade... from a very satisfied customer.

After using a serger/overlocker for 20 years I upgraded to the combined Serger, Cover stitch & Chain stitch of the Babylock Ovation. The 0% Finance offer made the product 'attainable' as mentioned by another this is a 'considered' purchase. I am still learning the product but I can think of no other machine that you could pull off the shelf very fine thin fabric and do a rolled edge with no fiddling of many dials to achieve the best result! Now all those sheer fabrics will get used! It is a bit 'mean of Babylock though not to include a 'waste' bin but that it must be purchased separately. I am not used to all the knife cuttings going everywhere. Could this be my 'last' serger/coverstitch/chain machine as I'll have no need for another?

Sews just as well as my old Janome 1200D, but seems a little tight on initial starting. The motor has a bit of a struggle to get the mechanism revolving, but then settles down well and sews well.

I have not used an overlocker for about 20 years, this one was a revelation! Excellent little machine, does everything well, and the extra feet included make it very versatile. I'm very pleased with the excellent service too.
