Again like most reviewers I did a lot of research before settling on the Silver 197. Initially I was going to buy this from a local stockists but during my research I had come across Sewing Machine Sales. They've lived up to my expectations with the order placed on line on Saturday pm and delivered in my one hour time slot on Tuesday. I've only really 'played' with the machine but WOW, I'm so happy with it!! It was very easy to set up although I was a bit fingers and thumbs with the needle threader, from then on it was plain sailing. Stitch selection is so easy, the results even better and all at a pace I can cope with. It's very quiet compared to my old one and I'm really looking forward to tackling some heavy projects on it as well as trying to teach my daughter how to use it. I'd previously been swayed towards the Brother Innovis range which for the same features would have cost significantly more, I'm very impressed by this machine and very glad I didn't.

I researched looking for a new sewing machine and having had a Toyota for 25 years I decided to go for another Toyota. I am really pleased with my new sewing machine. It is exactly what I wanted it has a good weight to it so doesn't move when in use and is not too heavy to carry. Instruction manual easy to follow.

I have a futura which I have been using for years. I needed another machine and was going to buy another singer in order to save on purchasing software I decided to give brother a go after being told by several online customers that is was better than the futura and it offered free software, pity it only comes with one hoop. The quality far exceeds that of the futura I recommend you buy this if you are looking for an embroidery machine.

Brilliant, intuitive easy to use machine. Bought this machine as it was recommended and used in Debbie Shore's DVD. What an easy machine to use, I was struggling with a Next machine which was totally useless, what a difference using this 100Q! The machine is quiet, so easy to thread, has the start/stop button but also a pedal if you prefer, I am a beginner and this is just perfect. I am still waiting for the free extension and quilting kit as these were out of stock, but the machine came the next working day! The only negative is that the cover does not clip onto the bottom of the machine so you have to be a bit careful when moving it.

So easy to work lovely and quite, patterns and alphabet brilliant and has caused my crafting skills to excel. So pleased I bought the silver 8000e very happy :)
