I have been very pleased with my XC33 and use it for workshops as it is so handy. It has everything that I need for patchwork & quilting and my aunt has one is also very pleased with it.

I chose the Featherweight to replace my 30year old straight stitch model feeling overwhelmed by the wide variety of machines on offer- but this one is so simple to operate and extremely sturdy despite its compact size. The excellent instruction book has guided me through the range of stitches available. I love the needle threader too!!

Fantastic machine build quality is excellent, more metal than plastic, buit to last, no gimmicks just a solid easy to use machine. Stitch length and width easily adjustable even whilst sewing. If your happy with the basic range of stitches but want a solid long lasting machine look no further.

When I bought This machine I was dubious about spending so much but it truly is worth every penny and more. Well built and really solid though not especially heavy. In operation - doesn't chug around the table - just sits and sews as smooth as silk in operation. I've had the machine nine months now so feel able to give an honest review of the achines capabilities. I sew on average 3-4 hours a day most days as I make Victorian costume for a volunteer museum team of enactors. The machine copes really well with even the finest of silk (not that I get much of that to use!) or the heaviest of denim. Stitches close enough to boning for corsets and even bonnet stiffening like buckram is no problem. Layers aren't a problem so long as you don't want to sew them at fifty mile per hour. Top loading bobbin with clear cover allows you to see how much thread is on the bobbin - no more getting half way along a seam only to find the bobbin has run out. I don't do lots of embroidery with the machine so don't need masses of fancy stitches but this one includes sufficient variety for most things and makes an excellent job of free embroidery. Stretch stitches too are excellent. The one step buttonhole is new to me and quite a revelation - just fit your button into the buttonhole gadget - attach to the machine and go... as simple as that. Built in needle threader saves such a lot of time - rethreading is truly a job dones in seconds. To sum up: Build quality - excellent Does it do what it claims - without question. Value for money - absolutely Would I buy the same machine again - Yes - without a doubt. (even if it cost nearly twice as much)

This machine is SO easy to use. Just finished my first project with it and as a complete sewing novice, Im absolutely delighted with the results. I did lots of internet research before buying this machine and chose it because it seemed to have the best features for the price bracket, but didnt have hundreds of stitches that would never be used. It has gone way beyond my expectations.
