Some models combine overlock stitches together with a cover hem stitch. These models usually use 5 threads, however, some use even more. In fact up to 8 threads.!

Have had great fun using the overlocker which was dispatched and delivered very promptly. After many years of sewing finally took the plunge to get an overlocker and I'm so glad I did. I have found it easy to use, fast and has opened up a world of knit fabrics that I previously steered clear of, even though my machine did stretch stitches. The instruction book/DVD could be better, struck me as dated, I think I've learned more from the wonderful youtubers!
