Some models combine overlock stitches together with a cover hem stitch. These models usually use 5 threads, however, some use even more. In fact up to 8 threads.!

This is my first overlocker even though I have thought of buying one for several months. I read some great reviews for this machine and they were all right! Fantastic machine very easy to use, even for a novice like me. It came un threaded as soon as I started using it and I must admit I did panic but once I had calmed down (and logged on to You Tube!) it was very easy and nothing like as scary as I had imagined. Very fast delivery received within 48 hours of order being placed. I would definitely recommend this machine.

Thrilled with the unexpected next day, free, delivery. My first overlocker and I was a tad nervous after reading about how tricky threading lower loopers can be. I need not have been, it was easy (-ish) to thread and I had made a cover for it within 30 mins of taking it out of the box. I really like the instant stitch reference guide on the front of the machine and the cutting blade position window. 3 cushion covers later, the lower looper thread constantly snapped. After much re-threading (I am expert at this now), I noticed that the tension of the lower looper thread was in-consistent. It varied from loose to very tight as I pulled it through. Consulted the manual, tried everything then noriced that the thread was catching on itself as it came off the back of the reel. What had happened? The thread stand pole had been pushed down by only an inch and as soon as I pulled it up, all my troubles were over. I mention this because the manual says nothing about it causing tension problems and it may be something that is not apparent at first glance. Wish I'd thought of it before all those re-threading lessons! So far, I really like this machine but have only used the 4 thread safety stitch that it came set up to do. BTW, I contacted Duke at Sewing Machine Sales and he was extremely helpful. Would buy from them again.

Transaction without problems, fast shipping. The Brother 1034d is easy to use for an absolute Overlock-beginner. I am happy that I have purchased this model. The machine is well-equipped. User manual is easy to understand. Threading the machine is easy thanks to good description and colour coded threading points. Several users critizise running noise. It is louder than my Pfaff, but well acceptable.

A great little machine! I am new to overlockers but decided to move my sewing on to create a more professional finish. No problems getting started and as it comes threaded I was encouraged to just have a go. DVD helpful as is youtube. Delivery good and prompt and after sales support good as mine came with the wrong foot pedal. Beware pins in material as I managed to shear the upper blade but spares easy to get.

I cant rate the overlocker enough, bought it on recommendation of the sales staff, The machine its self is a dream to use, so easy (even to thread) with a very professional finish. I use it most days to make dog beds and will handle any fabric with ease. It has cut down the work for me as they are hand finished and look so much better. I would defiantly recommend the machine, staff and website :-)

Fantastic product, I bought this overlocker whilst there was a deal to include 3 extra feet for free! very happy with it. It arrived the next day and the tracking was brilliant, not one of those deliverys you have to wait in all day for! Top marks for a company that does what it says.

The Janome Coverpro 1000CPX is fantastic machine to add to your sewing room. With various sewing functions, It will give your sewing a professional finish. Most of the accessories needed do not come with the machine, e.g. Hemming guide and other sewing feet. Although they are expensive, I believe that you get what you pay for...
