Some models combine overlock stitches together with a cover hem stitch. These models usually use 5 threads, however, some use even more. In fact up to 8 threads.!

I'm really pleased with my Brother 1034D Overlocker and even as a complete novice it didnt take me very long to get started and achieve some success. Threading wasnt too bad at all however only with the help of a video I found on You Tube. The manual and dvd that came with the machine were not so good. The only problems I have experienced have been getting the tension right so the stitches are correct and tidy but after much fiddling around and experimenting I think I've cracked it. Before purchasing this machine I telephoned and asked a few questions and explained I was a novice and the help I was given was absolutely excellent. The machine itself is fantastic and does all that I need and much more. The downside is the instruction book is lacking

Arrived all threaded and ready to use. The additional DVD is excellent for those who have never used an overlocker before, lots of clear instructions. I have set mine up on my sewing table, it doesn't take up much space. An excellent machine for the price, easy to use. very pleased with my purchase thanks!

Exceptional quality. Very easy to set up and work. Totally delighted with it. Been using overlockers for 25 years and this is the best ever. Service and delivery was unbelievably good - 4 days in total from UK to Crete, Greece. Absolutely delighted with all aspects.

A great value for money machine. Would definitely recommend it. Although threading it correctly will drive you insane as one of the threads is very, very awkward to thread up correctly. It is also nice that you can use both overlocker thread spools and normal spools without any problems. A very happy customer. It was a shame the free dressmakers scissors in the scissor pack was blunt at the end and won't cut.

Having previously owned a Brother overlocker I am delighted with my new model. It is so much better than my old one, which was a faithfull servant for many years. I hope I have as much use from my new one.

I'm delighted with my overlocker. I've never used one before but have found it really easy to pick up, with a clear instruction manual and it comes pre-threaded so you can practice using the machine before re-threading with your own thread. The fact that it is easy to thread because the front section opens is the main reason I chose this model and I am not disappointed. Highly recommended - as is supplier.

This machine is everything she needs, easy to use with very clear and straightforward instructions in order to accomplish your desired tasks, a brilliant compliment for her Brother sewing machine, giving a professional finish to all her projects. This machine is absolutely fantastic. Easy to use and very easy instructions on how to accomplish your tasks (according to the wife!) A brilliant compliment to her Brother sewing machine which I bought her some years ago. Many thanks and my sincerest apologies for not reviewing it sooner but I've had some problems with my sight and been unable to see the computer screen.
