Silver Viscount 1040 ..not a name I was familiar with, but needed another machine asap and this one was in stock. I am really delighted with it.. Was easy to set up straight out of the box. Sews nicely.. very quiet, easy to thread. Not stopped using it since... making masks and decorative cushions to sell for charity..The seller was so helpful when I initially rang regarding the 1040. I have not yet used the embroidery hoops, but I am so pleased with the stitching results so far. The buttons are big so are easy to press with my wonky fingers. I am looking forward to getting started with a test embroidery design next week.
