Some models combine overlock stitches together with a cover hem stitch. These models usually use 5 threads, however, some use even more. In fact up to 8 threads.!

Arrived on time this is an excellent overlocker it couldn't be simpler to use.. It comes already threaded up!...the tutorial DVD is very helpful too (apart from the extremely cheesy background music..) Would recommend to a friend..

My husband bought me this as a (very) early Christmas present and on the strength of the excellent reviews. Being a complete novice, I've always been a bit wary of overlocker machines as they look so complicated. I'm grateful that it came already threaded, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of changing the threads, when the time comes. The machine itself is so easy to use and makes lovely neat edges. As a first attempt, I've already made some cleaning cloths out of old t-shirts and I have another couple that that are a little bit too big so I'm going to have a go at taking them in. You could say that I've gone overlocking-mad but the Brother 1034d is a brilliant machine and one that I can now, happily, recommend to anyone who is wondering whether or not to buy one. Mine didn't come with a trim trap so I bought one.

My friend has this overlocker and I decided I wanted the same one! It was over £100 cheaper. It took a while for me to get used to the settings but was well away afterwards! Great machine

Fast delivery, Excellent overlocker! Never used one before, so I watched the dvd it came with first. It also came with an easy to follow guide and extra feet to try out. The machine was already threaded so I could start straight away. So easy to follow.

I have never used an overlocker before but decided to buy one to advance my sewing skills. My lovely husband bought this one for my anniversary as I had wanted one for ages so let me pick one. I decided on this one because of the ratings on this and I did look it up on you tube before buying to get an idea of what to expect. I absolutely love it! Ive had it less than 24 hours and have done loads of overlocking with it all ready! I have tried lots of different fabrics and with a lot of trial and error have got stitch tensions right and I love the neatness of it, I haven't tried to thread it yet ( as it came fully threaded) or change any of the feet on it but it wont phase me to do that. If you are considering buying this then don't hesitate as you wont regret it!
