Quick and easy and lots of choice with competitive prices and good detail about what the machine could do. Haven’t used a Silver Viscount machine before but it is sturdy and also can sew denim, which gives more flexibility if needed. It was quick to arrive, so keen to see what I can do.

If like I was, you are struggling to decide if the additional functions are worth the money over the other singer heavy duty machines, the answer is absolutely! The additional features are brilliant and save so much time and effort. Like any new machine there is a learning curve. Particularly so with getting tensions correct, some are below the suggested range in the user guide and different to my other machine (4411). Threading is a breeze and the drop in bobbin loading is an upgrade from previous models. No need to draw the bottom thread up it just does it no problem. I like that you can use the play button whilst the foot pedal is plugged in so it’s easy to choose which I want to use without messing about plugging and unplugging. Couple of things to be aware of. Lettering at full speed doesn’t give the best result and can deform some of the letters so bring the speed down. Also with lettering and some decorative stitches you must keep an eye on whether the feeds are moving the fabric properly. One a couple of occasions when using intricate stitch patterns the material hasn’t moved as intended which resulted in the fabric being sewn very tightly into the feed guides. If you don’t spot it quickly and stop it you can end up with tens maybe hundreds of stitches all in the same place which takes some time to rectify. Other than that the machine is brilliant. It comes with a large amount of feet and accessories and the screen shows which to use for each stitch type. The extension table is a must even though it’s rather expensive, it makes a big difference when sewing curtains or heavy upholstery etc. overall I would rate it at 98 / 100. I would have liked to be able to have it in the black colour but not available and more space to the right of the needle would push my score up. If it’s anything like my other singer heavy duty it will run without problems for 20 years. Very happy with my decision to purchase.

Bought as an upgrade from my previous machine. This machine is perfect and exactly what I was looking for. I ordered after 5 pm on a Tuesday and had the machine by Thursday! Fantastic service and would highly recommend both the machine and sales team.

I am new to Pfaff so it is taking longer to get use to using it. I have always used brother machine. I like the fact it has the largest hoop on the market.

I bought my Onyx 15 recently as I'm new to sewing and this was my choice after some research and based on the reviews I found. I ordered it on a Sunday afternoon and came on Tuesday. I'm very pleased with the delivery, and though they missed the carry case I ordered with it, they replied to my email first time in the morning and I got my missing item 2 days later. The sewing machine is great for beginners, I knew almost nothing about how to use it and, with the help of the printed guide and a few tutorials, I am now the proud owner of quite a few pairs of trousers I altered myself and they fit perfectly. The stitches are so nice and tidy, I just love the results. I love to use my new machine and, with the 10 years guarantee, I trust I will use it for a long time before I'll buy a new one.

I am super impressed with the packing and delivery with this company, it was delivered the next day, unfortunately I have taken ill and not been able to fully use it yet, although I have tried it on a piece of scrap material and was impressed with the quietness and gentle movement of the gearing, am sure it can do what it claims with all those different sewing stitches.
