Just received my Singer 9960 Quantum Stylist Sewing Machine. It looks so impressive. I am learning all about the machine from the instruction manual and it sounds incredible. I look forward to using it. I think that a hobby sewing all manner of things will be such a joy.

I have to admit when I started to unpack the machine I began to think I'd made a mistake. My old machine was metal with a solid wooden base and metal bobbins. This is all plastic, which does make it lighter to move around ( I can pick it up with one hand) but the fixtures just didn't feel substantial. I think if I stood on the foot pedal with any force, it would break. But - it stitches beautifully, it's quieter and I love it.

This is my first computerised sewing machine and it took me a long time to decide which one to buy but when it arrived I was thrilled. It's taken a couple days to get used to the settings and controls and the manual is fantastic and so is the machine. I love it! I'm looking forward to learning to quilt on this machine too. The service and delivery was great. I would highly recommend this machine and SMS Ltd.

Purchased to replace my old (1968 Jones) sewing machine, it is very light in weight yet of robust construction. I have tested it out and am very pleased with it's ease of use and especially the automatic needle threader (much needed with my eyesight). It stitches perfectly even over thick seems and the reverse feature is easy to operate. So far I cannot fault it.
