Which is best? Will it sew thick fabric?

I am quite new to sewing but I knew I wanted a sewing machine where I could control the speed.That seemed to mean I would need a computerised sewing machine. I have a basic machine but to go slowly over difficult areas I found challenging to say the least! I wanted a sewing machine that was user friendly, so I could get more enjoyment from my sewing. I read a lot of reviews. It was difficult to decide which make to go for but I eventually I narrowed it down to Brother and Janome for price and what I wanted from the machine. I was finally influenced by a friend of mine who is a happy owner of a Janome sewing machine. I am so glad I was! I bought the CXL 301 and it is a joy to use. It has everything I wanted and some! I am delighted with my purchase and would highly recommend. I also found Sewing-machines-Sales good to deal with and the delivery people kept me up to date on the expected time of delivery and gave a delivery slot of an hour which they easily honoured. All in all I am a happy bunny.

I looked for a few months researching sewing machines, as there's so many to choose from. From the basic models to the all singing & dancing machines. In the end I went for the Singer One Plus as you cannot beat the price esp with everything this machine can do. I'm over the moon with my Sewing Machine & with its easy to understand instructions, I've gotten to grips with how to do embroidery & theres still so much more I can learn. Delivery was extremely quick & I would highly recommend this Sewing machine to anyone, whether you are a new beginner to being experienced. It's simply the best! Thank you.

The delivery service is excellent. My machine arrived right on time at the beginning of the time slot I had been given. I have spent a few hours "playing" with the machine and trying out all of the functions and am delighted with the way it performsand how easy it is to set up. The handbook is excellent with clear diagrams and step by step instructions so you can't go wrong. I love the accessory compartment on the machine with everything at hand and in its own place and the fact that the machine displays which presser foot to use for each function. Overall impression - lovely machine. I wish I'd bought one sooner.

I love my new singer confidence 7465 fast delivery ,very easy to use instructions easy to follow very quiet compared to my old singer 527 which I have had for 40 years hope this one lasts as long. Looking forward to making lots of lovely things

The Horizon is a replacement for my old Machine, one of the first computerised ones bought in the late 80's, which still sews a great stitch. So I was apprehensive at moving to Janome. However, I want to do more quilting and am needing more arm space. After much deliberation between the two brands I decided on the Horizon and with the great offer at the time on the 8900 I went for it. Delivery was next day as promised. It is certainly a big machine with lots of space! Have already had a fair 'play' with it and along with the good instruction book have had the confidence to try out some things I never tried. It sews a lovely even stitch and the many more available - of which I have tried a few - look just as good. I love the quilting stitches! The auto cutter - no more messing with scissors. The stop/start button, the quick access bobbin cover and easy thread bobbin, the straight stitch needle plate - no more eating fabric at the start of piecing, the speed controller which you can slide to wherever you want it, be it slow or quick. This machine is fast, VERY FAST if you want. If you can keep up with it, it can do a lot of sewing very quickly. The LCD screen is clear and just the right size without being a distraction, just a slight touch with the stylus selects your stitches and menus and the jog dial is a great idea to move to a bank of stitches quickly. The 8900 came with lots of feet/accessories including a Perspex extra wide table, a knee lifter, large foot controller which stays put and a semi-firm sturdy canvas type cover (not a hard case). This machine was a big investment for me, a special treat, so I am happy it has been a good choice. I am about to start piecing some new fabric into blocks so will soon learn how the dual feed foot handles binding, it seems good on the tryout. What was a huge bonus was the special offer at the time, which went towards the most part of a cabinet to house the Horizon. It is a heavy machine and therefore I would not be able to keep moving it around from one position to another. It was also important the cabinet would suit both the Horizon and the room it would be going in and, with patience and understanding, James was a great help in sourcing what would suit my requirements. I have never bought a sewing machine online before and was rather apprehensive but have been extremely pleased with the service provided, thank you.

A beautiifuly made machine and so very easy to use. very fast delivery with excellent comms. The extension fits perfectly and looks good on the machine, work just glides on it. Huge selection of stitches available and all easy to select.. Threading the machine is a doddle. We saw this machine on tv and were going to buy it, before I did I looked on internet and saw it in Sewing Machine sales complete with free work case of threads and other bits and bobs. When i checked the price i could not believe my eyes, sewing machine sales were £95 cheaper than the tv sales. Overall very pleased with my singer One plus and would highly recommend it and Sewing Machine Sales.
