Which is best? Will it sew thick fabric?

I am so happy with my new toyota super jeans sewing machine. To date I have sewn denim, chenille, upholstery weight fabric, oilcloth, normal cottons, pul fabric and it has coped admirably. I make bags so I am often sewing through multiple layers of fabric. The special gliding foot is excellent although it is a bit tricky to put on as there could be a bit more space between the foot and the platform. I have also found it a little tight when opening zips mid-insertion (using a normal foot as I get all wobbly with a zipper foot). I also have struggled with the needle threader but don't know if its me or the machine…not something I really needed anyway. There is no variable stitch length but the range of stitches available is more than adequate for my needs. I love the regular foot too…it is part see through plastic and has several guides built into it for great stitching accuracy. All in all, for the money, I absolutely love this machine. It is quiet, steady and stitches perfectly even through multiple layers of fabric.

Well packaged, fast delivery, and a great product. Took embroidery machine out of the box, and was embroidering withing 30 minutes. The one thing I would say is that the manual doesn't cover the machine's features in the depth I would like. Ok with the use of the internet and youtube I am learning, but would have loved to have all the extra info within the package. Otherwise, just love it.

I can only say I love the Sewist 525S. It is so easy to use and lovely and light to take to my sewing classes. Have gone for nearly four years with heavy machine, so I am very happy with this light and very well performing sewing machine. Have not found all the tricks yet but with the very clear manual it is very easy to find out what to do. Also thanks very much for the very quick delivery all the way to me, the service was great!

Excellent delivery, ordered Wednesday evening, arrived on Friday with very good information en route. Machine up and running in test trial quickly and easily. Sadly have since fractured a wrist in car accident so cannot comment further for some time!! Probably 5 star in due course.

This sewing machine is great and is easy to use. I particularly like one-step buttonholes, the variety of utility stitches, the needle down/up switch and the seam lock switch. Recommended. Delivery was fast and well organised.

A superb machine, I bought it primarily for Quilting / embroidery. It has a huge space to the right of the needle and has a very large work area, I do not find the need for an extension table as the area is generous enough. As to the embroidery side, it has the largest stitch area on any machine in this price range and the software is capable of handling most formats unlike a lot of other machines which only take one or perhaps two formats at the most. Don't miss out, its a great price!

Delivery was very quick and once the surprise of the scale of the packaging was over, I was soon able to get the system up and running. The system is very productive and tells you when something is not correctly set up.

Being used to stitching on industrial sewing machines for many years I wanted a domestic sewing machine that was basic, strong and reliable. I have used the Janome for many years now and still going strong, never once had any problems and has never needed a service either.
