My husband got me this machine to replace my 40+year old model. What a delight to have a lightweight machine. I have already proved it is excellent for basic sewings needs - cushion covers, aprons, dressmaking, and am looking forward to developing it's use. I can recommend the Fashion Mate 3337.

I love this machine. I have sewn for many years and own a far more complicated machine than this but that was the issue - too complicated! The Emerald 118 is perfect for all my needs from repairs to creating full size quilts. It's a fantastic machine, very easy to use, quiet motor, simple stitch and foot changing. In addition, Sewing Machine Sales were the ideal retailer. Fast service, great communications and really helpful all round. I would highly recommend both without hesitation.

Can't wait to get started properly but this is my Christmas present from hubby so have only checked out the basic stitches, lovely tension and machine easy to use. Instruction book very detailed. If you have queries, staff very helpful on phone.

Great machine for the money. Replaced my 50yr old singer machine and has some great features. Have mastered the needle threader which is a great addition. Very easy to operate and has enough stitching options for general repairs and crafting.

A really smooth machine. This was a big step up for me.. from a tiny old John Lewis sewing machine. So I've not got lots of experience with the more professional machines. But this is like a dream! Very smooth sewing, neat functions like the auto lock button to use at the start and end of your stitching. The cut button to cut cotton at the end. The needle stops automatically in the down position when you take your foot off the pedal so it's easy to turn corners. Excellent range of stitches. An easy slider to adjust the sewing speed when using the foot pedal. Easy to adjust stitch length using the selector buttons. I haven't tried it for quilting yet, but I can imagine it will be easy to use for this. There are measurements on the extension table to help with spacing between quilting.

Previously I had a Bernina Quilters machine for over 25 years which no longer works. Looking at many reviews and models and prices I decided on Pfaff 610. The IDT system initially sold me on this instead of another Bernina. With arthritic wrists It is certainly easier to put the bobbin in the top than a front fact bobbin holder. The led lights are excellent, the needle threader a plus and like the tie off. As I have only had a week I haven't thoroughly explored yet but so far very pleased with this machine.
