Which is best? Will it sew thick fabric?

Excellent service and my machine arrived next day. I previously had a top of the range Pfaff machine lasting 30 years and with much debate this time I bought the singer 4423. Yes there a a few small things that could be better, the button hole lever would be improved as a drop down option, I do accidently knock it without realising and also a needle down postion woujld be great but these are very small incidentals and given the price difference my 4423 is easy to use, fast and as quiet as my previous machine, seems well built and I am very pleased so far. I haven't tested the embroidery stitches yet as I have only had the machine a week.

My old Janome is still running well after 35 years but I wanted a bigger machine for quilting. Advice from Sewing Machine Sales and a visit to the shop for a demo helped me in my decision to go for another Janome model. I have been using it for a week and am impressed by its smooth quiet running, even with thick fabric. Features such as automatic tension and thread cutting, automated buttonholes and push-button stitch selection are already making a big difference to my sewing projects. The instruction book is clear and easy to use, so I think even a beginner sewer could use this machine with confidence, especially in conjunction with the DVD.

Newcomer to the sewing game , bought this to replace a Brother which was rubbish ( tension was always wrong), The delivery was excellent and with the work we’ve done so far seems a good little machine, Would have liked something inthe manual on auto needle threading so I didn’t have to resort to U- tubes but we got there in the end

Hi just set up machine and very happy with it . People are saying needle thread backward. I have bad sight and found if you took the machine back out something underneath it's much easier than trying to bend and thread then found it magic .Also there is a video to see to help you with the automatic thread I'm so happy as now can three without frustration . Thanks .
